Benjermain Dupri (ベンジャーメーン ドゥプリ Benjaameen Dupuri), also known as Gunpowder, is the Powder Monkey for the Dread Pirates. Since a young age, he was forced into labour producing explosives as a slave. Due to the dangerous nature of this work, the life expectancy was very low for these slaves, but Dupri excelled at it. After being freed by Roberts, he joined the crew to make explosives for them, as that was all he knew.

Powers & Abilities

Haki

Dupri had gained a small amount of skill with Busoshoku Haki back when he was a slave, which would only show itself when his body was under extreme duress. Working with the Dread Pirates, he was properly trained to use both forms of Haki by Roberts.

Busoshoku Haki: Dupri gained Busoshoku Haki when one of his explosives blew up in his face, the only reason he survived being that his will to live was strong enough to create an armour around his body in the instant that he needed it. He was still injured, though it wasn't lethal, which saved him. Because of multiple subsequent failures, being a risk of his profession, he has been too close to his explosives detonating many times. Before joining the Dread Pirates, he had only ever shown his Haki at those times of risk, but afterwards he was trained how to properly use it by his captain.
